Thank God NW is retiring DC10's
Northwest is retiring their DC10's at the end of this month. Thank god. They are really old and I am scared to fly them. If you fly from Amsterdamn to Bombay, you will usually fly DC10 because they are old, i really mean old, and they know that Indian will make a mess anywhays. I travelled on one of those few years ago. I had a window seat. I leaned against the window. When the plane got on a runway and started take off roll, I felt that the the entire panel moved outwards by few inches. Now I know this happens at high altitude but on the runway, it was the first time I was experiencing that. Anyways, once you step pnth eplane, you quickly realize that they are old by the looks of it.
So now we get to fly A300's to India. Yeah.

If you ever get a chance, travel Virgin Atlantic from Boston to UK then Jet Airways from UK to Bombay. Both are great planes...each passenger gets their own tv and remote. It was really awesome and makes the flight go by so fast. Even the bathrooms were nice and clean.
VA is awesome no matter where you go. TV and Remote is getting common everywhere even in British and Swiss they do that. Jet is awesome since it is new let hope the desi's keep it that way
can't believe British is still using 777, 747, and 767 'dabba'.
Hate flying in those kind of junk...
